Join us for a round robin of music and prose with Nina Hart, Miguel Frasconi and Kurt Gottschalk to celebrate the release of Nina's new book "Somewhere in a Town You Never Knew Existed Somewhere.” Author Nina Hart has just released her first collection of surreal short fictions called "Somewhere in a Town You Never Knew Existed Somewhere". The book has been selected as a Short Stories (Adult Fiction) category finalist in Foreword Reviews' prestigious 2014 IndieFab Book of the Year Awards. Foreword Reviews cited the book as “A brave experiment with fiction and form...”(Amanda McCorquodale) and The Santa Fe New Mexican wrote that: “Hart extends her creative license to its utmost limits." (Loren Bienvenu). Author, journalist and disc jockey Kurt Gottschalk has had his writings about music published in magazines throughout the U.S., Canada and Europe. He has published two books of fiction and is the host and producer of the Miniature Minotaurs program on WFMU. He will read a selection from his forthcoming collection The Audiocalypse and Other Holiday Stories. Miguel Frasconi is a composer and improvisor specializing in the relationship between acoustic objects and musical form. His instrumentarium includes glass objects, electronics, laptop, and constructions of his own design. His unique glass instruments are struck, blown, stroked, smashed and otherwise coaxed into vibration.
